Qiskit Fall Fest 2026: IBM Quantum Computing Event at USTHB

From October 29 to November 2, 2026, the Faculty of Computer Science at USTHB will host five days of quantum computing talks, hands-on workshops, and a hackathon in collaboration with IBM Quantum.

USTHB joins the 2026 edition of Qiskit Fall Fest, a global initiative dedicated to quantum education and experimentation, as the only Algerian university among roughly 200 institutions worldwide. The event is organized by the Quantum Technology Club at USTHB under the leadership of lead organizer and PhD candidate Souala Elhoussine.

Theory Meets Practice

Participants will explore the core principles of quantum information science, learn to code with IBM's open-source Qiskit SDK, and run real experiments on cloud-accessible quantum hardware. The event culminates in a 24-hour hackathon where teams build, test, and pitch quantum solutions.
